La Pila, Guatemala
Since 2016, GCO has served this rural community with 0 medical clinics and $4/day average wage. GCO travels to La Pila quarterly to provide medical care and help this community grow to thrive independently. We are always looking for volunteers to join us on our regular trips to serve the community.
When you serve, you get more than you give.
Whether you are a healthcare provider or not, burnout is prevalent in so many of our lives. We've found that the antidote to monotony and burnout is a sense of purpose, and we've discovered that serving others renews and focuses our sense of purpose. This discovery inspired us to found Clinic for Cities and Great Commission Outreach.
When you give to GCO, You know where your money is going.
We take pride in the transparency of our organization. At most non-profit organizations, only 40 to 60 cents per dollar donated actually goes to the cause. Although we have operating costs just like any other non-profit organization, we work hard to keep our costs at a minimum so that we can maximize how much we give back.
We make it a priority to keep operating costs as low as possible. We also make it a priority to show our supporters exactly what their donation is supporting—whether it be medical equipment for one of our free local clinics, food for the village we adopted in Guatemala, or another project.
